2. Strawberry Blueberry Banana Smoothie for Weight Loss

This is a really delicious smoothie recipe that’s very high in antioxidants and is very kid friendly. My daughter loves the taste and distinct color of this recipe, and asks for it often.

Blueberries are very high in nutrients and are often referred to as a “superfood”. They’re low in calories, but high in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K. They also have one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any common fruit thanks to the flavonoids they contain 

Strawberry Blueberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients:

  • ½ cup fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (optional, sweeten to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes (optional)
  • 1-2 fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)
